"There were about 40 people on the set when the cyclone hit the Maidaan set - the guards and the curators of the football ground which largely comprises the set tried their best to save as much as they could but their efforts proved almost totally futile," a source told ETimes. This is the second time that the makers of Maidaan have suffered a setback because of the set. In 2020, a 16-acre, high-maintenance set built for the film was dismantled due to the COVID-19 lockdown and the rains. But all those plans, for now, stand washed out," the source added.
