This Monday marked the 8th anniversary of the hit cop action film, Mumbai Police. Malayalam filmmaker Roshan Andrrews who had directed the movie has announced that he will soon be remaking his blockbuster movie. “8 years of ‘ Mumbai police ‘ !!! Sharing some great memories with you all …. Aliyaaaaaa …… still people talk about this film! We are remaking this film very soon …. will give all the details … just wait … love you all ! @therealprithvi @actor_jayasurya @rahman_actor (sic),” Andrrews wrote on Instagram.
According to media reports, Mumbai Police could be remade in Tamil. The original film starred big names like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya and Rahman and it remains to be seen if they'll be present in the remake as well. Mumbai Police was released in 2013 and tells the story of an officer investigating a murder while also suffering from a partial memory loss due to an accident. Andrrews is currently busy with his project, Salute, another cop saga, which stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role.
