Actors from the South film industry have come together to create an awareness video around COVID-19 in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Madras. Stars such as R Madhavan, Dulquer Salmaan, Atharvaa Murali, Vikram Prabhu and Suhasini Maniratnam feature in the video. Maniratnam took to her Instagram account to share the video where the stars urge their fans and followers to maintain all COVID-19 safety protocols and help fight the coronavirus by staying safe.
The stars also urge everyone above the age of 18 to get vaccinated as it is the only way the effects of the virus can be lessened. Madhavan has spoken about the importance of wearing masks and washing hands - basics that scientists and doctors have harped on ever since the novel coronavirus first started wreaking havoc on the world. Actors like Radikaa Sarath Kumar, Nassar and Arvind Swami also make short appearances in the video.
