Making the country proud and setting a new record, Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe crown on May 21, 1994. It was the first time someone got the crown for India and as an 18 year old, Sushmita sure had the experience of her life representing the country on the international level.
Reminiscing about her pageant days and all that made her win the crown, Sushmita penned down a beautiful and heartwarming note on its 27th anniversary.
