The second wave of the pandemic has caused a reschedule in the release of many films this year. The movie calendar that had several theatrical releases planned is now gradually shifting to online streaming services. The latest film to have a hybrid release is Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai but the reception at the box-office is proof that OTT services are a better choice for filmmakers.
Next in line for a release is Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane’s Haseen Dilruba. This mystery thriller is directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L. Rai. The film was supposed to release in September 2020 but could only finish production in October. Now reports suggest that the film will hit an online streaming platform on July 2.
Last year, Taapsee had taken to social media to announce the wrap up of the movie and said, “Finally, after shooting during the coldest days in Haridwar to sultry hot days in Mumbai, this film has probably experiences all seasons and human emotions possible under the sun. Here’s to getting ‘pulp ficton’ back on screen with the character you either love to hate or hate to love cuz basic toh hum waise phi much karate nahi hai na…”
