Priyanka Chopra Jonas who rushed to the aid of Indian citizens when the second wave of COVID-19 first began wreaking havoc, has now penned a thank you note for all those who contributed to her fundraiser and helped it reach a whopping amount of $3 million. The actress further elaborated that this money had helped them procure 500 oxygen concentrators, 422 oxygen cylinders and hire enough people to man 10 vaccination centers. This will help over 6000 people get vaccinated over the next two months.
“Thank you to every single one of you who have donated and made these actions possible… please know that you have helped save lives. With your support we’ve now accelerated our fundraiser to $3 Million (22cr INR)," the actress wrote on social media. Several Hollywood celebrities had come forward to lend their support to Priyanka’s fundraiser including Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.
