Ankita Lokhande who worked with late Sushant Singh Rajput in the extremely popular television show, Pavitra Rishta, has reportedly kept a havan at her home for the late actor on his first death anniversary. Lokhande also shared a video of the religious ceremony on her Instagram stories. A few days ago, the actress had announced a short break from social media with a post that read: "It's not a goodbye, it's a see you later."
While there were some who were concerned by her decision, others slammed her for purportedly cashing in on the fact that Rajput's death anniversary was a few days away. Many trolls had shared nasty messages about her and accused her of seeking publicity. However, as usual, the trolls were wrong as Lokhande recently posted a few pictures on her Instagram feed from her vacation with boyfriend Vicky Jain.
Ankita Lokhande was one of Sushant’s first co-stars and the two were also in a six-year-long relationship before they broke up in 2016. On Pavitra Rishta's 12th anniversary, the actress hosted a live session on Instagram. "Sushant is no longer with us and without him, Pavitra Rishta is definitely incomplete. Archana ka Maanav sirf wahi tha (He was the only Maanav to Archana) and without him, everything is incomplete. But, I am sure wherever he is, he is watching us and he's happy, wherever he is,” she had said.
"Sushant always taught me acting. I wasn't an actor. He was the one who used to teach me what acting is. Because I was a junior, he was a senior. He always taught me. He was a brilliant actor, brilliant co-star and I was very fortunate to work with him," she added.
