The country continues to battle the second wave of the pandemic as many states struggle to fight the virus due to shortage of medical supplies. This crisis has made many influential people come forward to lend a helping hand and donate and raise funds to procure oxygen concentrates, ventilators, vaccines, PPE kits and more for the affected.
Arijit Singh too, has announced a virtual concert on his Facebook page that will help raise funds for medical supplies in rural areas that still struggle to make ends meet. Arijit posted a video on his Facebook page sharing that he will be holding a concert on June 6 at 8pm on his social media and urged everyone to donate as much as possible. He shared that the proceeds will be used to buy testing equipment including MRI, CT Scan machines and other medical facilities to be set up in village hospitals.
In his personal life, Arijit just suffered the loss of his mother who had recovered from COVID-19 but succumbed to a cerebral stroke. Arijit has also donated nasal oxygen therapy machines to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital.
