Kangana Ranaut yet again makes it to the news and this time it’s because of her renewal of passport. Kangana Ranaut has moved the Bombay High Court for permission to get her passport renewed. According to the interim application filed by the actress, her passport renewal application has been objected to by the Passport Authority of India due to an FIR.

This certain FIR is the FIR against her by Munawar Ali over allegedly inflammatory social media posts. Now according to reports in Times Of India, Kangana’s plea is for orders to direct the renewal of her passport and to “confirm that the magistrate’s order and FIR under challenge before the HC would not compromise her rights’’ to the passport renewal.

Kangana’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee had informed the court on June 13 that the actress had applied for the passport renewal as she had to step out of the country for a shoot, however due to the FIR, Passport authorities without appropriate court Order, stalled her renewal. As per TOI’s report, the lawyer explains the urgency of the renewal by saying that Kangana had to travel to Budapest, Hungary from 15th of June, 2021 till 30th of August, 2021 for her upcoming film shoot – Dhaakad. But due to the renewal issues, the actress couldn’t be present at the shoot and this further can incur some losses to the production house.
Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad is an action film, where the actress will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar. The actress will be seen alongside Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta.
