While there have been no official confirmations for any of the parties involved, it is being speculated that actor Kareena Kapoor Khan will essay the role of Sita in a Bollywood recreation of the Hindu epic, Ramayana. According to a report in ETimes, the Veere Di Wedding actress has allegedly hiked her fee for this role. Kapoor Khan reportedly charges around INR 6 crores to INR 8 crores for every film role but she appears to be charging INR 12 crores for this film. The report goes on to add that the epic retelling will require about eight to 10 months of preparation.
Besides this movie on the Ramayana, Kapoor Khan also has two other films lined up. The actress will be working on the second part to the popular buddy drama, Veere Di Wedding and will also be starring in a Hansal Mehta movie. ETimes reports that only after she completes the above mentioned projects, will she be able to start work on the Ramayana movie. Here’s hoping the makers of the film make an official announcement soon!
