Vidya Balan says that she has faced sexism from men women and even


Gender inequality still prevails in our country and in almost all strata of society and almost all fields of work. Vidya Balan who has always spoken her mind about such issues, points out a very important factor about sexism that is not often highlighted.


 In a recent interview to an online portal, Vidya Balan rightly highlights the fact that sexism just doesn’t come from men, but also from women and it lands up with one doubting and judging themselves. She lays down her own example and confesses that at times she has underestimated herself because of her gender. Hence she says that sexism is not only about how men treat women, it is also about the mindset that women have, as a result of their deep-rooted conditioning.

She added further saying that there is a way out of this and she stated that she doesn’t hold herself back because of her being a woman.

Her recently released film Sherni on OTT platform is winning great reviews. The movie sees her as an honest forest officer trying her best to do her duty under adverse circumstances and the movie yet again proves what a terrific actress Vidya is. She has won rave reviews for the film and the actress says that she feels happy when more people watch her movies as she makes films for people to watch.
