Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby girl earlier this year. The couple named her Vamika and also requested the media fraternity to give their daughter privacy. Virat Kohli’s sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra respects their decision and recently spoke in favour of them when netizens tried to get some more information about the tiny tot for her aunt.
Bhawna indulged in an Ask Me Anything session on her social media, where someone asked her about Vamika and how the child looks. Giving an answer to that, Bhawna had called Vamika an ‘angel’. However netizens got extra curious and demanded a picture or some more story about the tiny tot and some ran stories about how Bhawna has revealed something about the baby. Bhawna put out a clarification where she said that she supports Vamika’s parents – Virat and Anushka’s decision. She said, “Guys, Virat and Anushka have already requested the media to refrain from Vamika’s pics. Please do not encourage or entertain any news that suggests that I have revealed how she looks. I totally respect their decision and would not do so myself.”
Virat Kohli had earlier spoken about his decision for Vamika’s privacy and had said, “No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”
