Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to direct his first ever web show, Heeramandi. The show is in the final stage of casting and is expected to go on floors in November. Heeramandi is about three courtesans and the hidden reality of the area. The story will have love, betrayal, succession politics in Sanjay Leela Bhansali style. We hear that the director is getting a huge set made in Mumbai’s Film City.
The director will have Lahore built in Film City as the web show will show the pre-Partition era too. The story of three generations of Tawaifs (courtesans) is all set to have Manisha Koirala in it. Other names doing the rounds are Sonakshi Sinha and Aditi Rao Hydari. However, the final cast hasn’t been announced yet. Keep watching this space for more from the world of entertainment.
