Radhika Madan is one actress to watch out for on the big screen. The actress who was first seen in a daily soap by Ekta Kapoor – Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, gradually moved to movies and today she is one of the most promising talents in showbiz.
Radhika recently revealed on a popular social media handle that when she made her shift from TV to movies, things were not that easy even though she was popular. Radhika said that she had to audition for 1.5 years post her TV exit and people during the auditions even suggested she get some surgery done and fix some of her body-parts. Speaking about the same, she said, “I was told I needed to have a particular shape, size and height. I was also told I need to get surgery or get some body parts corrected. And I always questioned that because mujhe toh main bahut sahi lagti hun. Who are these people to tell me I’m not pretty? But for the next 1.5 years I didn’t get work. And it's very easy to doubt yourself at such a time, but I knew that the journey is more important than the destination. In fact, I made a conscious effort to have a blast at my auditions. And before long, I signed my first film as other projects followed.”
Radhika made her debut with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Patakha and soon went on to act in quirky and interesting films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and Angrezi Medium. We are looking forward to this promising young lady.
