The trailer for Dhamaka is finally out and it's as punchy as one had hoped it would be. Kartik Aaryan plays the role of an RJ who gets his seat at prime time back when a terrorist calls him with a terrifying exclusive - a bomb will explode on Mumbai's Bandra-Worli sealink. Following this, Amruta Subhash, the show's producer coolly tells Kartik that they are not in the business of reporting news but of selling news. The makers have managed to slide in this critique of high-decibel TV news in the trailer as well.
Following this, we are made aware of the fact that Mrunal Thakur is an on-ground reporter who is Kartik's wife and the two are going through a bad time in their relationship. We see divorce papers on the screen as well.
