Nimrat Kaur recently starred in Dasvi, where she played the role of a Chief Minister’s wife who suddenly comes into power. The actress was critically acclaimed for the acting prowess she showcased in the movie. After the success of the movie, the actress opened-up about her journey being a part of the movie and the body transformation she had to go through for Dasvi.
The actress revealed that she gained nearly fifteen pounds in a ten-month-long journey. She also highlights how gaining weight for the movie would bring learnings that would last a lifetime. The heartfelt note is a strong message about body positivity and self-image.
Recently she also added to her experience. Nimrat said, "People open the door on something that they are not asked about, without even bothering to find out if someone is in that space for a reason," she also said, "I was getting paid for my job but it did affect me to some extent. I would come back home feeling a little odd."
The actress also regrets that she did not reply to the people who would ask her unpleasant questions about her weight gain. She says, "It is not my nature to be confrontational”.
