Ajay Devgn joins hands with the BMC to set up ICUs in Mumbai


With the second wave of the pandemic hitting worse than before, the common man and celebrities alike have risen to the occasion to help in whatever capacity possible. While everyone is sharing details for resources for treatment on social media, several actors have come forward to contribute financially in this fight.

Ajay Devgn, along with some of his colleagues has set up a fund to help BMC with equipment for patients. The actor has been working on the ground level with the corporation, frontline workers and commissioners to set up ICUs in Shivaji Park in Mumbai. "It will be an extension of Hinduja Hospital,'' said COO, Joy Chakraborty confirming that they would provide food, linen, medicine and manpower to this emergency unit.

Furthermore, Anand Pandit, Boney Kapoor, Luv Ranjan have contributed to the 'Smiley Account' which is the business development cell of the BMC. Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap have also made a INR 1 crore donation to the CM’s Relief Funds.
