Smita Patil had already carved her name in the annals of Indian history with her path-breaking performance in many films but her son, Prateik Babbar has taken it one step further by getting her name tattooed on his chest along with her date of birth and an infinity symbol.
“Inked my mother’s name on my heart.. smita #4ever 1955 - ♾,” the actor wrote in the caption while sharing the picture of the tattoo on Instagram. Babbar’s half-brother, Aarya and others dropped heart emojis and sweet messages in the comments section, having found this gesture wholesome. Patil died at the age of 31 but had already won two National Awards by then. She has starred in iconic movies like Bhumika, Mirch Masala, Bazaar, Mandi and Arth. Smita was also the recipient of the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour and even won a Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for Chakra.
