Plasma therapy is a procedure where blood of someone who has recovered from the disease is injected into a patient with severe conditions of the same ailment. This plasma contains antibodies that help the patient fight the virus better. In case of COVID-19, people who have recovered 28-30 days before, are between the age of 18 to 60 and above 50kgs or more are eligible to donate. Another criteria is that one cannot donate plasma for three months after getting the vaccine for the virus.
Urging everyone eligible to come forward to donate, Shraddha Kapoor posted a picture of his brother Siddhant Kapoor donating plasma and wrote, “My bro just donated plasma. Urge all those who are eligible to do the same please.”
Siddhant too posted the same and captioned it, “Donated Plasma today ! Please come ahead and donate it if you are eligible to ! Please please ! Thank you Dr Joyce and The Reliance Hospital.Come forward and help as much it’s not painful at all !”
