Last weekend Raj and Krishna DK’s The Family Man Season 2 dropped on an OTT platform. While the first season was a hit, the second season has surpassed all expectations and got everyone talking. Manoj Bajpayee headlines the project and has won plaudits for his role yet again.
Manoj Bajpayee spoke to a leading daily today and talked about the success of The Family Man 2. Hesays success of his OTT roles has earned him younger fans who are not really aware of his previous work. “OTT has taken me to the generation that is growing up now. This generation was not really aware of my previous works. Now, 15- or 16-year-olds come to me, wanting a picture — that’s something I have not enjoyed before. The contribution of The Family Man to my career is that it introduced me to a new fan base,” said the actor to the leading daily.
He further added that OTT has given him a newer kind of success. He said, “I have had my share of successes, but they were not consistent. OTT, on the other hand, gives a lot of space to an actor like me to explore and invent. If you’re not willing to evolve, you can’t sustain on this platform.”
The actor even praised his co-actors Samantha Akkineni, Priyamani and Sharib Hashmi and says that they are better than him in the show. Manoj Bajpayee won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for The Family Man Season 1 at our first ever FLYX Filmfare OTT Awards.
