Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor are a deadly combo at the movies. They’ve given two brilliant films in the past, Rockstar and Tamasha and the duo is set to collaborate yet again for another movie. After a six year long break, the director-actor duo is in talks for a film and reports suggest that Ranbir has given a nod to the script as well.
Speculations were that the film will be a biopic on controversial singer Amar Singh Chamkila’s life but this is not the case. The two do not want to collaborate for the biopic as it falls under the same premise as Rockstar and Ranbir will be seen in one of the two scripts that Imtiaz has been simultaneously working on.
A source told an online portal, "While the biopic of Amar Singh Chamkila was one of the films Imtiaz was working on, he had two other scripts too that he was writing simultaneously. One is a social film that sends out a message on suicide, the details of the other film have been carefully kept under wraps. Ranbir's film is not the biopic because it will bring him to a similar Rockstar like space with him playing a musician, although the stories are poles apart. Ranbir's film is one of the other two projects that Imtiaz has been making ready.”
Well, whatever the story, we love to see these two brilliant artistes come together.
