After spending weeks in custody, Pithani has been granted parole by the court to attend his own wedding. Zonal Director of NCB, Sameer Wankhede said that Pithani has been given a 10-day relief to get married and has not been granted bail by the court. Pithani's lawyer Tareq Sayyed said that he has been granted interim relief on humanitarian grounds.
Pithani was the first person to find Sushant’s body in their house. He had been questioned by the CBI, ED and NCB on several occasions last year and has now been taken in custody in the case.
Almost after a year of investigation, the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate, Siddharth Pithani in a drug angle related to the case. He was taken in custody by the NCB on May 28 from Hyderabad after he had been absconding for months.
