Rajkummar Rao shares video singing Maeri along with friends at his reception party

On Tuesday, Rajkummar Rao shared a video from his reception ceremony, on Instagram. In the video, Rajkummar can be heard and seen singing Maeri with his friends on the stage, while his wife Patralekhaa cheers for them.

Rajkummar chose black tuxedo for his reception day and he was joined by his friends on stage in black suits. Paatal Lok actor Abhishek Banerjee and Singer Tushar Joshi were among the four friends of Rajkummar, who joined him to sing the song along with the band and also groove on it. At one point, Rajkummar broke into Bhangra and danced like no one was watching him.

Patralekhaa, who donned a white saree, accessorised with heavy jewellery and put vermilion on her forehead, cheered for all those performing on the stage.


While sharing the video, Rajkummar commented, “#Maaeri @patralekhaa Humari shadi ki ye suhani sham. Kahte hain gana aaye na aaye gana chahiye especially when it turns into an impromptu singing session.” “Thank you @tusharjoshiii you super talented boy, for letting us sing one of our favourite Hindi songs. With the most wonderful @anishjohn83 @vinraw @nowitsabhi,” he further added.

Rajkummar and Patralekhaa tied the knot on November 15, 2021, in Chandigarh. The wedding was preceded by a combined engagement ceremony and white wedding, and a pyjama party.
