Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is all set to release next month. The film is a sequel to the 2007 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The trailer for the highly-anticipated film starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and more arrived earlier today and it's currently the talk of the town. The upcoming film doesn't feature the original cast including Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Rajpal Yadav seems to be the only actor reprising his role. Now, director Anees Bazmee has revealed why he didn't bring back the original pair from the first film.
Bazmee told a leading news portal, “Akshay is a great actor and a great friend. Vidya is a great actor and did very well (in Bhool Bhulaiyaa) But the script didn't give us the liberty to bring them onboard."
"We didn't want to bring the two onboard without any purpose. This story did not permit us to bring them,” he added.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 arrives in theatres on May 20.
